We made it!

So sorry I haven't updated this in FOREVER! But I thought now would be a good time to get back to it.

Yes, we made it. It was a rough move day though. Mostly because we have too much stuff, and I wanted to take all of it! We filled all 26 ft. of the moving truck from bottom to top. I had to hold the stuff in while Rick closed the door, and I'm pretty sure it fell out when they opened it.
We definitely overestimated ourselves. We thought we could get it all done in time, but we were still doing some last minute packing even on move day. It has been "interesting" moving with a one year old. Benjamin had twice as much stuff as me and Rick put together. He also makes packing way more fun/difficult. Benjamin wanted to see/be with me or Rick all day, and play with anything not taped up, but he did get two awesome naps which were pretty critical. He loves remotes and had gotten into our "comcast" box...he came out squeezing all four remotes to his chest. It was hilarious. He would drop one and reach down to pick it up, dropping another.... Right before we walked out, he decided to try to fly down the stairs...not quite landing it. So we had a little scream fest and said goodbye to our house. We were only in it a year and a half, but have so many memories there.

Our house here is not quite ready, so we had to store most of our things and we are staying with our awesome friend, Betty. She had the best toy closet and has already won Benjamin over. Today Rick went to unload our things in storage and Benjamin and I ate, slept, bathed and that's about it. It was nice to relax. It's been a while since that has happened. And I got to play some volleyball tonight and hang out with a few of the college students for a while, which I enjoyed.

Thanks to East Cobb for everything! The past weekend was one of my favorites! Throwing frozen turkeys around with the youth and the best send-off party ever, that concluded Hallie being baptized! She actually texted us during the lunch, which was a first, but I love it! That's her way and that works for me. We had been studying together and she knew it so no one hesitated when she brought it up....we knew she was ready and we are soooo proud of her.

I hate to leave and I will miss it very much, but I had such a peace about it after Sunday, because I really felt like God used us in an incredible way. Thank you for all your love and prayers.

We are jumping right in here. Rick was devo last night. Tomorrow we're going to midday manna (a devo at the trojan center) and doing thanksgiving dinner at the church. I'm making dressing, so we might want to pray for that. We're excited to get to know the students better and get going.

Anna & Adam

This is one of the sweetest weddings I've ever attended.
These two reminded me of a couple of kids.
It was obvious that they were not only in love,
but they were best friends.

Anna and her bridesmaids had so much fun with the pictures-
they seemed to love having their own special photo shoot.

Anna and Adam were so sweet and had so much fun together.
I grew up with Anna and met Adam in college,
so I knew them previous to the wedding.
I was truly honored to be able to share in their special day.
It was an incredible union of two beautiful people.

They toasted with Coca Colas!

May God bless you Anna and Adam!

Danielle & Allen

I love this image of Danielle walking through the restaurant to go to the ceremony. She was so laid back about the wedding. Right before she left to walk down the aisle, she realized she forgot to put on some makeup....sooo she threw on some lip gloss and mascara and walked out. It was great.

Danielle and Allen chose the most beautiful place for a wedding, Cathedral Park in downtown Mobile. One of my all-time favorites.

About half way through the ceremony, rain drops started to fall...

but it didn't stop anything!

They just laughed and went on with the ceremony!

My favorite pic of the new husband and wife.
This is one couple who enjoys life and loves to have a good time.
Best wishes.

Wow!!! Isn't this a catch! I was so proud of this image. I was actually lying on the floor when I got it, but it was worth it-it's one of my favorites ever!

Shay & Robert

Congratulations! Shay & Robert were married April 14. They were so lucky with the weather. Rain threatened all morning, then the bottom fell out not long after they left, tornado watches and all! The wedding ceremony was in a beautiful church building with amazing stained glass windows...great for natural light pictures! I enjoyed hearing the precious story of how Shay and Robert met, their engagement and their five-year journey together. The ceremony was so special. It was a tremendous day!

Robert and his son Hayden

Dad and son all smiles on the big day

Grandpa kissing Avery...Precious!

Chip was chowing down on those Cheez-its...I think he was hungry.

Katie & Brian

I had the opportunity to photograph my friend Katie's wedding recently. I was thrilled to be a part of it. I feel that Katie and Brian are going to be wonderful together. I enjoyed watching them laugh together with excitement on their special day, and their joy seemed to be contagious to their guests. It was a very warm, but relaxing day, BEAUTIFUL! At the reception site, guests just seemed to sink into chairs in and soak up the afternoon. Here are some of my favorites from the Frederick wedding.
